I love a no nonsense adaptable recipe. Especially in baking, where everything is usually such a science and a good bake can go to a bad bake very quickly...

The fact these are plant-based is a HUGE positive. The butter substitute gives the cookies a light texture. And look, let’s be real. You’re never ever going to get a moist bakery-style cookie out of a packet with a 6-month shelf-life but these cookies have a very buttery texture and are not dry at all (which is ironic considering they don’t contain real butter!). The chocolate content is also superb. They are lovely, rich, and super chocolatey.

Dunk Cookies and HatHats Coffee Company have announced an exciting collab which will create jobs and fuel the expansion of both businesses.

Dunk Cookies will be transferring its lease on its retail premises at the South Quay Shed in Whitstable Harbour to HatHats Coffee Company enabling it to combine both the units to offer its full range of products with increased space and power.

On Thursday 26th a fire broke out at Whitstable Harbour....

Thanks to the quick response from emergency services, no one was hurt and everyone is safe, albeit understandably shaken.

Kent Online ran a feature this week announcing the full list of new tenants, and our future neighbors, when we open on Monday 16th May. And WOW, what a line up!!! My stomach is already rumbling for all the delicious locally-made and sourced food businesses coming to South Quay Shed!

Wahoo!!! The news is out, and we can finally reveal where and when we are opening the first Dunk Cookies store!

From May 16th get your bellies ready for a dunkable experience like you've never had before!

It’s no surprise with all the things happening in the world at the moment, this has been an extremely tumultuous year for small business. Along with other makers, we’ve experienced supply shortages, price increases (sometimes over 50%!), staff shortages, inconsistency of sales and sadly at times staff have been directly affected by covid.

To create a protective environment for our staff and business, we have had to lead with an agile approach, to create efficiencies in our production, without ever compromising the quality and customer satisfaction of our product. As a result we have doubled our business, grown our team, and created a happy working environment <3.

As such, we are absolutely THRILLED to have been recognised and awarded a finalist in the most prestigious business award in our county.

The Kent Excellence in Business Awards is an annual awards scheme staged and produced by KM Media Group and Kent County Council to recognise and reward excellence in Kent’s businesses. To be recognised as a finalist for small business of the year, for such a prestigious award, is an incredible honour and the pep in our step we needed to move into a new year.
